River Adventure
Life on the river is sometimes simple, sometimes tough, but always full of adventure. Join the Mariners Guild as we play along the Great River's ebbs and flows building simple river rafts and using other vessels. We delve into the tales and lore of our Pacific Northwest waterways and their inhabitants of past and present. We learn the fascinating, old time history of or local rivers and creeks. There are old school games like Kick the Can, Jacks and Marbles (we play for Keepsies). We also stealth our way through the forest using safe foam arrows in a game of tag.
Raftin', Fishin' and Campfire Cookin
River Rats build a simple river rafts and try out other river going vessels, including the Trackers canoes. We hunt for crawdads and make Huck Finn style poles, doing plenty of lazy fishin' for all manner of watery beasts. We fry, roast and eat our catch while cooking outdoors. And if you don't love fish, we also rustle up some fine flapjacks on the griddle and biscuits in the dutch oven.
So join us for the ultimate Mark Twain, Halley's comet, turn of the century, River Rat adventure!
